Bedfordshire RAVE Bus 2014   You are here: Home » Bedfordshire Roadshow 2014 » Bedfordshire RAVE Bus 2014

The Healthcare Review team has been out and about on the Bedfordshire Rural Communities' RAVE bus, visiting Biggleswade on 21 March and Houghton Regis on 25 April, to seek out people’s views on the Healthcare Review. This was part of the 'Just Ask' outreach project, organised by Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire.

People in Biggleswade had a generally good experience healthcare, singling out Addenbrooke’s, Bedford Hospital and The Lister for praise, along with local GPs, district nurses, paramedics and NHS Direct.

There were concerns about A&E waiting times, poor communication and car parking charges, with quicker access to operations and more GP services highlighted as potential areas for improvement.

There was similar feedback from Houghton Regis, with good experiences with A&E and GPs, but more concerns about hospital waiting times and the possible selling on of patients’ records.

You can read a full feedback summary in the ’Your feedback’ link on the right.
